On June 30, 2015, Elitnet finished the project “Establishment of Data Flow MTTP Laboratory” (“Duomenų srautų MTTP laboratorijos sukūrimas”). The project (code VP2-1.3-ŪM-03-K-04-059) was partially funded by the Lithuanian 2007-2013 Economical Growth Program for scientific research and technological development to encourage competitiveness and growth of economy called “Intelektas LT+”. The total scope of the project was 58,703.37 EUR, of which 41,092.16 EUR was assigned from the European Regional Development Fund.

During the course of the project, Elitnet carried out a renovation, created workplaces for multiple researchers, and acquired modern technical equipment (hardware and software) necessary for development of telecommunications service platform RCS Box, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solution, and 4G / 5G value-added services platforms. The laboratory is unique in Lithuania, as it allows performing L7 data flow analysis and content-based protocol recognition by processing data flows at up to 20 Gbps in real time. The innovations developed in this laboratory will allow the company to adapt a DPI prototype, develop cyber security solutions, and improve competitiveness in local and international markets.
